Too much and never enough

“There are two secrets to being a great tango dancer. The first is having a hole in yourself that you cannot fill, and the second is the luck to fall upon tango as the thing you try to fill it with.” Jaimes Friedgen

I owe that quote above to Russell at Tangowords.wordpress.com. If you're not reading his beautiful blog - you should start now.

I like this quote too (I've published it a few weeks ago). It represents for me a deeper approach to tango. Keeping this in mind people do not hurry for steps or figures.

Let me suggest another great quote from Carlos Gavito:

The secret of tango is in this moment of improvisation that happens between step and step. It is to make the impossible thing possible: to dance silence. This is essential to learn in tangodance, the real dance, that of the silence, of following the melody.

Maybe you like it too... ;-)

Thanks for your excellent blog!
